James G. Fahey

James G. Fahey joined Sorling Northrup in 2000 after completing a clerkship with Fourth District Appellate Court Justice Sue E. Myerscough. A former Attorney with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts and a past Director of Adult Court Services in Sangamon County, Fahey has held management, research, and direct service positions at the state, appellate, and circuit court levels, and served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for elected officials and government entities. Mr. Fahey has also authored several articles in professional publications and provided seminars on a variety of legal issues.

Mr. Fahey concentrates his practice in commercial/corporate litigation, employment law, intellectual property and appellate litigation in both state and federal courts and administrative tribunals. Fahey also provides a wide range of intellectual property services, including counseling, availability determinations, validity and infringement analyses, registration, assignments, licensing and a full continuum of litigation services in such areas as trademark, trade dress, copyright and trade secrets.
