Jeffrey T. Baker joined Sorling Northrup in 2010. Mr. Baker concentrates his practice on business advising and corporate transactions. Mr. Baker’s practice includes counseling businesses on various corporate matters such as organization, business sales or acquisitions, regulatory compliance, protection of trade secrets and employees, contractual negotiations, and corporate financing. In addition to established medium and large sized corporations, Mr. Baker also provides legal counsel to start-ups and entrepreneurs.
Prior to joining Sorling Northrup, Mr. Baker’s previous experience included four years as the owner of a corporate and political intelligence business where he advised businesses and elected officials throughout the country in the areas of research and communications. Mr. Baker specialized in advancing clients’ public policy agendas with sophisticated strategic communications campaigns. Before starting his own business, Mr. Baker spent several years on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, where his research and communications work was used by White House staff, members of Congress, as well as numerous members of the national media.
Mr. Baker is a 2009 graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law and was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 2009 and Massachusetts in 2010.
Mr. Baker is a member of the American, Massachusetts State, Illinois State, and Sangamon County Bar Associations.
